STORYMONEYBAG.COM was the brainchild of Mr.ANIRUDDHA ROY CHOUDHURY.
We, consisting of a few writers and creative people, are the team of STORYMONEYBAG.COM.
Story Writing is an art. It can remain a hobby while the adult pursues his career. It is an art that if encouraged, can only help in increasing the self confidence of the individual concerned and may become a source of pleasure that is repeatedly read in private or by the public, as one pleases.
Each child or adult imagines and has many stories in his mind, but most of these stories never see paper and die an unfair death. Each of us, being guardians of society are responsible in a small way for the unborn story. It is our responsibility being elders to have the time to identify such potential, to discourage this criminal abortion. Though we harbour the guilt, the pace of life unfortunately never gives us the time to guide our children or the talented yet unknown adult , the pillars of the future society, to pursue anything else but the preset academic / career curriculum. There are some children / adult who rarely speak up about what they want or desire. In some cases the well-meaning parent / relative is unaware about the means to access the media. In some cases no one has shown the child / adult that he does possess the talent to write stories. In this manner wonderful stories remain unborn or get lost everyday.
STORYMONEYBAG.COM is a Web site that is dedicated to the CONSTANT PROMOTION OF THE ART OF STORYWRITING. It is a commercial venture that is based on a socially relevant cause.
It's team do visit schools, colleges, offices etc., talk to potentially talented people such as your child or yourself and encourage them / you to write down the story that lingers in their/your mind.
Why do we do this? Well no one else has taken on this responsibility as yet. Somebody has to and therefore we have! We have another reason.
Every adult has a child within himself. Psychologists have pointed out that some human beings become rebellious when their true talents are subdued and an accepted social regimen such as a school,college or career curriculum is forced upon them. Some of them become uninterested in academics / careers despite the obvious dynamism in their intellectual and behavior pattern. As social acceptance becomes linked with worthwhile contribution to society vide Mark sheets or success in career, some tend to become social outcasts and take on a "Do not Care' (rebellious) air despite hurting deep inside for not being understood.
Innumerable number of these ' creative yet untapped' human beings return happily to the social fold when they are made to realise that they too possess certain talents that are rare. That they too are useful contributors to the social kitty. They then realize that they too have a goal to achieve. They have a job content that is to their satisfaction and capability.
STORYMONEYBAG.COM dedicates it's effort in identifying and encouraging the writing talents of these human beings too. They seem to gradually crawl out of self constructed cocoons and flourish having discovered that they can write. And that their writing can be a sorce of pleasure to innumerable people all around the world.
No one else has taken on this responsibility as yet. Somebody has to and therefore we have!
How does STORYMONEYBAG.COM operate?
STORYMONEYBAG.COM literally acts as the agent of your ward / relative by doing the following:
(a)
The writer or his guardian (school/college Principal or parent / relative) signs our Terms where we clearly mention that this a commercial venture that is based upon a socially relevant cause. That we charge a fee of $1(American)- from the school going minor, $2(American) from the college going minor or adult and $10(American) from all other adults. That we have to survive as an organization and we have to buy the rights to your wards story and try to sell the same. If successful, we shall use the monies to suitably remunerate the team members, reward your ward as is due per the quality of the story and pay for the innumerable administrative expenses such as Story Judge's Fees, Telephone, Fax, Courier, Internet Bills, Web Site Rent Bills, Telephone linked to Internet Bills, Conveyance Bills, Electricity Bills, Office Rent, Chartered Accountant Fees etc.
(b)The otherwise untapped minor / adult writer now gets the opportunity to write his story initially in the school/ college / office / residential premises and subsequently from home. The stories are complied and given to our judges in our office premises. The Judges sit down to read all the stories one by one. This may take two or three months. Due regard is given to the quality that may be expected in each age category.
The stories are graded as 'PLATINUM', 'GOLD', OR 'SILVER' OBVIOUSLY DEPENDING UPON
THE QUALITY and a teaser of the story is displayed on our site for a predetermined period of time.
(c) The site being the media which is dedicated to the CONSTANT PROMOTION OF THE ART OF STORYWRITING, now gives him the much desired exposure and ego boost. This increases his self confidence and he is encouraged to hone his art even further.
(d)People get to see his Name and his digital image and he gains recognition as a writer. If the quality of his story is good then visitors to our site would like to buy from us and read his stories on a regular basis.
(e)Many from amongst the students who had become unruly because they were not being recognised, many who are academically weak but excellent at writing stories, many who are termed as day dreamers but are actually the literary geniuses of tomorrow would get identified.
(f)There would come a stage when the young writer would get weaned away from our support. By this time he would have gained ample recognition and fame as a versatile writer and would be much in demand. He would learn to sign contracts and earn from his writing despite his pursuing any other career besides writing.
You would appreciate that all of above becomes possible only if you encourage us and allow the events to take place.
We hope we have your total co-operation and that you would allow your ward to write as many stories as he so desires and submit the same either to his school or college or directly to our site.
